## Connection in three clicks

*OAuth authorization*

No manual token copying — HAPP gets access via Meta's secure OAuth flow and refreshes tokens automatically.

- **Secure OAuth 2.0** — HAPP never sees your Facebook password. Authorization happens through the official Meta OAuth dialog.
- **Multiple Pages at once** — Connect multiple Facebook Pages in a single OAuth session. Each Page gets its own channel in HAPP.
- **Automatic token refresh** — HAPP automatically refreshes the Page Access Token before it expires — the connection stays stable.
- **Incoming messages via Webhook** — Every Messenger message sent to the Page arrives in HAPP instantly via Webhook subscription.
- **Outgoing via Graph API** — HAPP sends replies via the Meta Graph API — customers see them from your Facebook Page.

## What you need to connect

*Before you start*

A Facebook Page and admin rights — OAuth setup will take under three minutes.

1. **HAPP account** — Active account with a configured assistant. No account yet? Sign up at my.happ.tools.
2. **Facebook business Page** — You need a Facebook Page (not a personal profile). Messenger is linked to the Page, not to the personal account.
3. **Page administrator rights** — OAuth authorization requires administrator or editor rights on the Facebook Page in Business Manager.
4. **Messenger permissions** — HAPP will request pages_messaging and pages_manage_metadata permissions — approve them in the OAuth dialog.

## One assistant, every channel

*Everything else*

This is one of two dozen integrations. Connect the rest of your stack the same way — no code, no migration.

**Messengers** (5 channels): Telegram, Viber, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp
**Telephony** (5 carriers): Binotel, Ringostat, Phonet, UniTalk, StreamTelecom
**CRM systems** (5 integrations): SalesDrive, keyCRM, NetHunt, Odoo, Google Sheets

Plus Altegio, Shifio, Zadarma, Qdrant, Custom Messenger and webhooks for anything else you run.

## Frequently asked questions

*FAQ*

Answers to the most common questions about the Facebook Messenger integration.

### Do I need a personal Facebook account to connect?

Yes, but only for OAuth authorization. You need a personal Facebook account with admin or editor rights on the business Page. After authorization HAPP works autonomously — the personal account is not used.

### What is pages_messaging and why is it needed?

pages_messaging is a Meta permission that allows HAPP to send and receive messages on behalf of your Facebook Page via the Messenger API. Without it the integration cannot send replies.

### Can I connect multiple Facebook Pages?

Yes. During OAuth authorization select multiple Pages at once. Each Page creates its own channel in HAPP with its own assistant or operator team.

### Is there a 24-hour window in Messenger like in WhatsApp?

Yes. Meta allows free replies for 24 hours after the customer's last message. After that, Message Tags must be used for specific scenarios or notification subscriptions.

### Can I see in HAPP who messaged in Messenger?

Yes. HAPP receives the PSID (Page-Scoped User ID) — a unique sender identifier for your Page. Name and photo are fetched via Graph API unless the user restricted access.

### What happens if I revoke permissions in Facebook settings?

HAPP will receive an OAuthException and stop processing messages. Go to HAPP → Integrations → Facebook Messenger, click Reconnect, and re-run OAuth.

### Can customers tell an AI is replying?

The customer sees messages from your Facebook Page — the Page name and photo remain yours. You decide whether to mention that an AI assistant is responding.

## Ready to answer Messenger automatically?

One OAuth flow connects every Page you own — and the assistant replies before your team opens the inbox.
