FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about Telegram integration with HAPP.
Is it safe to connect a personal Telegram account?
HAPP connects via the official Telegram API (MTProto) — the same protocol used by all Telegram clients. Your password is never transmitted: authorization happens through a one-time code or QR. The HAPP session appears in Telegram → Settings → Devices, where you can end it at any time.
How many Telegram accounts can I connect to HAPP?
The number depends on your plan. Most plans support multiple accounts, each with its own assistant or operator team assigned.
Do messages arrive in real time or with a delay?
In real time. HAPP maintains a persistent connection with Telegram via WebSocket — new messages appear in the conversation feed within seconds of being received in Telegram.
What happens to my chats if I disconnect Telegram from HAPP?
All previously received conversations remain in HAPP. New messages will stop arriving, but your Telegram account and chats are unaffected — disconnecting from HAPP has no impact on your Telegram account.
Can my contacts see that I am connected to HAPP?
No. From your contacts' perspective nothing changes: they see a normal chat with your account. They have no way to know an AI assistant is responding unless you explicitly state it in your messages.
Can I connect a Telegram Business account?
HAPP currently supports personal accounts via MTProto API. Support for the Telegram Business API (for business accounts) is on our roadmap.
Does the assistant reply to all messages or can I configure it?
You have full control in settings: you can limit processing to specific contacts, groups, or messages containing certain keywords. You can also enable manual handoff so an operator can take over a conversation.
